Pretty weight loss ticker in your sig Lady.

No, it doesn't just me and other sugar junkies

If you're doing that you might be effect your weight loss because the carbs do add up and you aren't counting its easy to let the carbs go too high. Plus diet soda has a lot of sodium in it, thus you can retain water and the scale won't budge.

wow... you know, reading this makes SO much sense! I am *seriously* fighting some carb addictions... and I have a MAJOR sweettooth. I'm just going to have to suck it up and realize that if I can do this, I can do ANYTHING! (including, but not limited to fitting into some uber-sexy outfits straight off the regular rack!)

Oh yeah the sugar thing is no joke!!! Read my siggy girl and you'll see if you stick with NOTHING sweet in your life you WILL LOSE AND THE CRAVINGS WILL CEASE. I just chose to have a beer one day and all he11 broke loose, that lead to apple smirnoffs then it was on like Donkey Kong.

                  To all:
The sweets may have been (and probably still is!...) the hardest thing to break. You'll feel it first week how bad your body "craves" that sugar and carb when doing atkins. My downfall was banana nut bread and/or doughnuts in the morning/night...But, if I can break that addiction, ****, anyone can! Almost two weeks and not a single sweet! The Atkins Advantage shakes are great. This is only 1g net carb for a quick chocolate fix.

Re: Addicted to Sweets? The Cephalic Phase Insulin Response

I've never been into sweets, my addiction has always been fried foods or pasta, but I seem to crave them the moment I can't have them. I don't bother with them when I'm not dieting, but the minute I set up a plan to lose weight, all I want are cookies, cakes, and candy.

I recently gave up Diet Coke (my very last vice in a long list of vices that I've purged myself of), and I feel much better for it. I heard somewhere that asparteme can cause serious sugar crashes, as well as other fun stuff like fibromyalisa (sp?) and arthritus. My husband still drinks it, and he goes through a case every two weeks. When I was drinking it too, we went through a case every two days, so that kind of puts in perspective how much I was drinking, lol.

the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'.

(I slowly moved my diet coke addiction to plain club soda and seltzer, I make sure it has nothing but carbonated water, sometimes, it does have a minuscule amount of sodium, but I don't worry about sodium , I worry about carbs and my soda water never has carbs, aspartame, splenda, etc....)

I am struggling too with craving of sweets.

I love love love skittles and any other fruit candy.

Since falling off the wagon last week, I am just not taking any chances with eating ANY sweetener that might start my ticker back up and cause me to crave or cheat.
I have tried those atkins bars before and I absolutely hated them personally and they are so dern expensive.

Although! I HAVE in fact tried the chocolate drink supplements by the generic brand made by 'Safeway' and I LOVED them, but not allowed for the induction phase.

I am sticking to fatty goodness that this world has to offer strictly.

I am encouraged by EVERY SINGLE BODY on this board! I need a little knowledge real quick- are the low carb bars (Net Carbs-2) okay during induction? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Thank you so much. Flo
I was told no because they contain ingredient not allowed on induction such as grains, nuts and chocolate

So far the only diet soda that I have found tats induction friendly is DIET-RITE. They have 7 flavors to choose from and at almost every grocery store. There is tangerine, grapefruit, white grape, cherry cola, black cherry, cola, Raspbrry, and the others I cant think of but they are awesome. All of the other diet sodas seem to be made with aspartame.
