  • Sugar Free Jello during induction?

I'm certain this has been asked before but couldn't find anything digging through old posts.
I was wondering if sugar free jello is allowed during induction ??
I'm only on day 2 of induction but with all these heavy foods I've been eating, I'm craving something cool & sweet.

Jello per se is not allowed by Dr Atkins - I think most of it has 'illegal' sweetener anyway, and most of us try to kill our sugar cravings on induction by not caving in to them if we can.

What Dr Atkins did suggest as an occasional dessert was a homemade gelatine dessert made using unsweetened gelatine and splenda.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

How about Pork Rinds are they allowed on induction? They have absolutly no sugar, fiber or carbs.

I'm also looking for a quick and easy induction friendly sweet. Anyone have any suggestions?

Pork Rinds are induction friendly. I didn't really feed my sweet tooth while on induction. I drank coffee with heavy cream and sweet n low or splenda. How about some Mt. Olive sweet relish (made with Splenda...check the label, it's blue) with a bit of mustard and diced onion on top of an all-beef hotdog?

Pork rinds are fine if they have no sugar or other stuff like rusk & other starches (in UK most of the pork scratchings I have found have rusk!!)

Like all other processed foods - check the list of ingredients as well as the nutrition info and look at the serving size as they are allowed to say 'zero' carbs if there are less than 0.5 per serving which might not be the whole packet!!

So if one serving = 1/2 ounce and the pack contains 4 ounces and you eat it all you will be eating 8 servings which might contain 0.45 grams per serving if the ingredients list anything other than pork and salt, which could mount up!!
