    First Five Pounds

Today has been one week. I have one more week to finish induction and I have lost 5 lbs. my first week. I still have a stretch to go. Is 5 lbs too little of a loss. Should I have lost more? Please let me know.

    Thanks

    Re: First Five Pounds

Most people lose between 5-10% of their total weight loss in Induction since you only have 32 to lose that is a GREAT loss! Since you lost 5lbs which is more thant 10% of total weight loss you obviously don't have much of a metabolic resistance. Good job keep it up!

Thanks, Jenny. For the kind words. Being 40 yrs old, my metabolism is starting to slow and I can't afford to be the weight I am now and have it slow down on me. Plus I come from a long line of overweight, diabetic, heard disease family (Lucky Me). So I have a tendency to gain weight just by smelling foods. I am starting as a nurse tech this week and will be an RN next March, so the less weight Im carrying on me the better I think I will feel. Looks like you are doing well too.

Great!! Thanks. Its always such a struggle. With support from all of you, I think it will go along a little less stressful.
