            Re: 30lbs down in induction!!!!

I can see that you feel you will need to stick to induction for a while longer, but I thought I'd add a comment about the cheating bit.

If you find yourself choosing off-plan food regularly you might need to take a step back and work out just which of the "W's" are leading you to choose to cheat.
If you can work out why, when, where and with whom you are when you cheat, you might be able to work out a plan of action to avoid doing it.

So if for instance you are finding yourself hungry but with no induction-legal food available then you know that your strategy to avoid cheating must include planning to always have some 'legal' food available.

If however it is a certain situation that makes you choose to cheat then you need to work out a way of not being in that situation at least until you have acquired the habit of low carb eating and can say - 'I don't fancy a doughnut thank you'. This might mean for instance not meeting up with your friends for a cup of coffee and a doughnut at the weekends for a while.

If it is that every time you sit watching TV your hand seems to slip into the packet of doritos that your family cant do without and you end up by munching through the pack seemingly subconciously, then you need maybe to stop watching TV! Or take up something like knitting or tatting that will keep your hands busy and not available to sabotage your efforts by feeding you.

If it is a certain person who enables you to cheat - maybe your favourite aunt always presses you to eat her special famous (insert carby recipe here) then maybe you need ot explain to her that at the moment you would rather she didnt tempt you with it, or maybe stop visiting her for a while.

I think I read that to form a habit we need to do something for three weeks, so you need to start training your mind as well as your body to choose different habits

I worked my butt OFF!!! hahahh! I was doing anything and everything I could do be active....I used to never leave my couch unless I had to, so I started going to the gym for 2 hours a day and set the incline on my treadmill to 9 and walk for 40 minutes then do a bit of weights and some more intense cardio....I actually love it! Ive never stuck with exercising this long....however, I think I need to begin choosing new ways of exercise becuase its beginning to become more easy and I love the challenge...maybe Ill try one of the challenges on here.

Also, THANK YOU ELIZELLEN!!! Your comment has really helped!!!

Wow!! That beats my last induction record of 28 pounds. Weigh to go!!

You've shed the same as 6 5lb bags of potatos or 120 sticks of butter. That's awesome. Keep at it and you'll be at goal in no time at all!!!!

I agree with Elizellen. I've been on Induction 6 weeks now and I've cheated twice. It stalled me which stinks but at the same time I've learned what it is that causes me to cheat. I've learned what I need to avoid and what I need to do to prevent cheating! Good luck!
