I am so pleased that I survived induction. I wasnt sure i was going to make it the first 3 days but now I am so undercontrol. I lost 9lbs on induction and plan on staying on induction, I weigh in every saturday morning, and will keep up induction until I think i can slowly transition. Good luck to all those just starting induction. You will be amazed how you feel around day 4 and 5.

Re: I survived induction and still smiling
Thanks so much for the support from everyone. It is really helpful. I felt so strong yesterday after finishing 2 week induction and then I woke up this morning and now I feel like now what. I liked the success in the first 2 weeks, but now I am afraid of carbs altogether. Am also worried that like any other diet the first 2 weeks you always see results and then it really trails off. If I stick to 20 carbs a day, can I still be successful, is the negative thought running through my head. It is the TOM so I think that is where all the thoughts are coming from.Start Date 5/17/2008

Re: I survived induction and still smiling
I felt the same way. Suddenly afraid of carbs. But I followed the diet as it is described in the book and I have continued to lose weight. So it is not over after two weeks.
Congratulations on your loss so far. Great job.

Great job, snow4rt! (I like your screen name - it's cute)
Just look at all of those who have had success well past induction. You can continue to have success, too! Just follow the plan, exercise, drink water, etc. Some people stall out on extended induction. If that happens you, you may want to move onto OWL rung 1 which is more veggies (5 carbs additional for the day).
Best of luck to you!

Great job!
I would encourage you to start adding the rungs. The first one is not scary at all. It is only 5 more grams of veggies. And it starts teaching you about your body and how it reacts to different foods. It also broadens your food choices.Elsie150
