Hi, It's my day 2 of induction, am at work and feeling a bit dizzy in the head, not feeling hungry though, just had my tuna breakfast. I stopped drinking coffee and am working out regularly. My only concern is to take enough calories and not go into starvation. But this head dizziness is worrying me! Like my head is going too light and is going to fly away soon!

Re: Day 2, feeling strange
Are you getting enough water? sometimes dehydration does this to me, but also whenever I start on induction i get a little dizzy like this too, eating little and often (ie 6 small meals or 8 small snacks space throughout day) helps me too, I think it keeps my blood sugar levels low.Originally posted by onecrazydiamond View PostHi, It's my day 2 of induction, am at work and feeling a bit dizzy in the head, not feeling hungry though, just had my tuna breakfast. also how much are you working out? have you started the diet and exercise both at the same time? or where you already working out? Because I find if I try to change too much at once I get dizzy and "weird" feelings, so now I just focus on diet for first week (trying to get as much everyday exercise eg walking as I can) and then focus more on the "real" exercise after induction.

Re: Day 2, feeling strange
Hi again! I drink a lot if water, around 3 liters a day. Regarding the exercise, I work out often, as I did before induction, mainly bike riding, basketball and some floor crunches. I hope that it gets better after few days! I've got some 10kg to lose, that's 22lb. That's not much, but I red that less you have to lose the slower it goes.

Wow you do a lot of exercise! Puts me to shame.Originally posted by onecrazydiamond View PostHi again! I drink a lot if water, around 3 liters a day. I am not sure what might be causing the "weird" feeling, have you given up caffeine or fizzy drinks for the plan? I was a total caffeine addict a few years back and gave it up for health reasons, I felt very dizzy and weird when I did that.Beer and shoes, what more does a girl need to be happy?Female 275'3" small bonedCW - 121lbsGW - 105lbs

Re: Day 2, feeling strange
Yes, I agree with moniegail. It is probably your version of induction flu. Keep an eye on it. Make sure you are eating. You may want to add snacks to your day..sort of spreading your meals out more...especially since you are exercising lots. It should pass in a couple of days.Elsie150

Re: Day 2, feeling strange
I'm on day four and those symptoms for me just went away, day 1-3 were bad for me! I felt nauseated and feverish and like I couldn't remember anything. I've noticed my body does this whenever I cut out carbs. But you'll feel better in a couple days, just keep drinking water!!

Re: Day 2, feeling strange
I would not worrry about "taking in enough calories" Atkins specifically says to eat only when hungry. He says if you are not hungry do not eat except for a small protein snack to take vitamins, meds, etc. with. One of the great things about this diet is the appetite suppressing effect.
If you are not feeling well it is probably a "withdrawal" effect from something you were previously eating and had become very conditioned to such as sugar, flour etc.
Hang in there it will get better!

Re: Day 2, feeling strange
Hmmm...
Feeling faint this evening when I stood up. Just got up to go to the bathroom and was quite dizzy. So, I am drinking a large glass of water and checking ADBB. I have been exercising a lot and in Rung 1. I dropped caffeine a month ago, but had half a cup of regular coffee about a day ago, and some diet soda this evening-I gave that up about a month ago also, so there could be a page 144 withdrawal thing going on. BTW I checked the Mayo Clinic web site for other causes. The only other times I have ever been dizzy like this is if I crouch like a baseball catcher for a couple minutes and then stand up quickly. I will make sure I am drinking enough water. If this persists I will take a rest day today.
Thanks for this posting everyone!
