  • does anyone else do this?

well i obviously count all carbs for my veg, but i dont really count any carbs for meat as i only use fresh meat and fish and are carb free.

i use about 2g a day (about 4 out of 7) on sausages and maybe 2g a day on splenda for my coffee. i also have my 4oz of cheese as well, as i love it.

    is this ok?

i know i can eat more but im not hungry, i just really want to make sure i am doing it right, i have read the book but still dont want to get it wrong

sounds fine to me. You don't say how much carbs you are using in your vegetables, but I am assuming you are following the induction limits. There is no reason that you have to track everything except your carb count. I like to track both my calories and carbs, so I do track my meat consumption through fit day. But as you say, in fresh meats and fish there are no carbs. One caution though, is shellfish. There are small amounts of carbs there to be aware of.

If you are into it I would use fitday and plug in your food and you will be able to see how you are doing. Ideally, you should be eating at around your BMR or a few hundred higher and your percentages would look close to 5%carb/30%protein/65% fat. So give it a go just to give yourself an idea of how you are doing.

I don't hit those percentages everyday...some times my fat is higher. There is a great sticking in this forum that discusses how easily the percentages are affected.

      Keep up the great work!
