Duke's mayonaise doesn't contain added sugars.

I've heard so many things about Dukes mayo but they don't sell it in this area. One day I went on their website and found out I can order some. Who knew? I got 4 jars for 20 dollars. Free shipping. It tastes more like krafts then it does Best foods (which is my favorite). I think after this runs out I may take a shot at making my own. But the first time on Atkins, I lost 60 pounds eating best foods mayo and ranch dressing so I don't think they have enough sugar to matter.

Lots of foods contain sugar naturally so it is impossible to avoid it completely. Most of us use the commercially available mayos and Ranch dressings. Just be careful and measure how much you use and add in all the carbs. You should be fine. The tiny amounts are not enough sugar to trigger a blood sugar blip so I would say, go ahead!

I use regular Walmart mayo and find the smoothness of it better than the more expensive and the sugar is so minor I do not worry about it because I only eat it a few times a week and it is the only sugar I get at all.
I have made mayo in the past and may try that again too, it is pretty easy and tastes great !!
I do not think you have to worry about that little bit if you are otherwise eating very good.

              Great Decision.
I make mine with Expeller pressed olive oil and eggs

              and best yet:
              add sugerless relish--Tartar sauce
              add diced tomatoes--Russian Dressing
add roasted garlic--out of this world Aioli

I use Kraft Mayo and I make my own ranch dressing. I've never heard of Dukes until now

                  Re: mayonaisse and ranch dressing?

If you like olive oil , which many people do, that is a great idea to use it, makes it a much healtier mayo for sure. I do not like it that much for anything but cooking and usually use an oil that combines olive and canola and soy, it has a much lighter taste which I prefer, and when I tried to make mayo from pure olive oil I had to throw it away because of the strong flavor, so just be sure to use an oil that you like as it will make a differance in the taste of the mayo. It is worth it to make though, nothing tastes better than the fresh homemade.

                    Re: mayonaisse and ranch dressing?

I use many different olive oils all imported from Italy (so the bottle says)
I use Filippo Berio for my mayo..it's so light and really good.

so is there anything I can add to mayo to make it a dressing? We have just been adding a little mayo to our salads so they aren't so dry.
