Hi everyone, I'm doing really really well! I've had a couple of really anxious moments (like when MIL marinaded chicken in lite italien dressing). Which seems so tiny int he scope of life - but it was beyond control so I cut the insides out for posterity. I am definately struggling to space out my veggies. i am getting them all in - maybe a little extra by 1/2 cup. But we ae doing SOOOOO much walking and playing games that I'm not going to worry too much. My Dh is craving this fabulous little place where I always get a big Italien Beef. The dear man it taking a container and going to go in and ask them for all the meat in a container for me. (What a sweetie!).

OK, gotta go! Thinking of all of you - it's not as easy on the road - you feel the lack of some control

You are doing great!! Keep up the good work. BTW...if you are going over by a half a cup of veggies a day you may want to consider yourself moved up to rung 1 which is 5 more carb grams of veggies a day. No harm done!

I'm not actually eating 5 more carbs b/c my egg consumption, cheese and basically all the "extras" (sour cream, olives, avocado) has dropped off the planet. So... I guess we'll wait and see. On Monday I'll weigh and measure. IT will be the end of my first two weeks.....

I am sure you will do fine! Good for you for being able to stick to it...especially since you just started. Many would have used the trip as an reason not to start or to cheat. Way to go!
