  • atkin's cheater with question

I cheated on my wol eating over the weekend, and I was just wondering if I am suppose to go back to induction or just drop carbs back down? I don't crave any particular food, and I have gotten right back on track with my low carb living. But, I did include blueberries and cantelope in my menu today. Should I be startiing fresh to get my body back to burning fat? Or does just lowering my carbs again start the fat burning process over?

This forum is for the first two weeks of induction so I am a little confused. If you have done the first two weeks of induction and that is behind you and if you "cheated by eating some berries and cantaloupe then I would tell you its time to go to OWL and start up the ladder.
If you haven't completed the full two weeks, I think I would tell you to try to do two cheat free weeks, 14 days just to give yourself that edge.
Happy losing regardless of where you are.

      sorry and thanks

You are right! I am not new to this low carb life style. I have been low carbing for a little over 1 month now and I've lost 15 pounds. So, I am unsure where this question should be exactly, and I am also unsure of whether or not I am still burning fat or if I need to start at induction again. But thanks for your advice. :joy

post your questions either in the Atkins main section or in the phase you are doing section. Are you doing a long induction? we have a forum for y'all too.

Back to your question as Dr Atkins said in DANDR returning to induction is only if you are out of ketosis or as the last resort to rev metabolism in stalls. So are you out of ketosis? if not just stay where every you were before the cheat and continue doing your Atkins. Induction is the cure all nor the punishment for a cheat as many think of it as.

If you are out of ketosis you do induction just long enough to get your ketosis going and move back to where you were before the chesat too.

If the cheat was because you had new food cravings then you need to drop that food or food group from your Atkins and try again later in your journey.

        Happy lowc arbing to you.
