I had read in another topic section about consuming "processed cheese" i.e. Velveeta or Kraft as being a no-no. I must have over-looked this in the book because I read that only "new cheeses" i.e. cottage cheese were no-no's particularly during induction. (I am on day 1 of induction) I had consumed 3 ounces of sliced cheese from Wal-Mart's Great Value today. I guess my question is is this ok for induction? :confused

Day 1 is not ruined, this is a learning experience. You made a mistake, now you are learning from it. I made quite a few slip-ups when I first started (heck, I still do). Just pick yourself up and keep going. Good luck!Started 4/18/04

As long as the rest of your menu was Induction friendly, you should not be too much the worse for wear.
Unfortunately, "cutting the cheese" can have a variety of meanings.
However, it's best to stay away from the "plastic" brand of cheese.Started Atkins: 21 Sep 2003

If it is described as 'cheese food' rather than 'cheese', Starmaker.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
