Re: Week of July 14, 2008: Atkinites

Sorry guys.. been hanging around like a newbie lurker or something lately. Been too ashamed to post

Erica - no need to feel despair, Im in the same boat.

BF thing has just been messing with my mind, so i hardly ate a bite sunday night until around 11, where i ate a couple of chips, and went back to bed.

Then monday, decided it was time for a chicken quesadilla for lunch, since i havent cooked in days.

Then yesterday, implemented a new system at work, and they put me in the position of fielding peoples errors, trying to duplicate them, then taking them up and running around the building to report them -bleh- talk about stress.. thats what im doing today too. Not to mention all the food they had around the building to "celebrate".. i dont even want to tell you what i ate.

When i eat something I shouldnt, all of a sudden everything else i shouldnt be eating is ok because im already off my diet! And the overall depression lately, but worse is especially the depression thats coming from doing the eating thing so well for so long, then tripping up like this... its almost unbearable. So today I was going to re-start, but i have a migraine... GOOD LORD!!!!!!!

I'm really hoping to be back on before the weekend. I havent had a bender like this in a long time, and i know the longer i wait to hop back on, the more likely the train is to leave and never come back.

I guess I'll have to start a new thread when i get back to it

      Goodmorning, or afternoon.

I hope everyone who fell off the bandwagon are able to jump back on it before it leaves. I'm a bit disappointed, but temptations do happen and we learn from them. =( But I know everyone of you are all determined to lose some weight, so I know you can do it!! No matter how long it takes, right?

Well, as for me, I'm still alive. Following this way of life to the T. I'm planning on staying on Induction for another two weeks or so because I do have a lot to lose and I know I can do it this time because I have a whole lot of variety of food that I can cook and not get bored. At least, I hope so. =)

Once I become a dispatcher, I'll have more time to go to the gym. Well, I'll try to work out twice to three times a week, depending on how tired I am, etc.

But I'll be taking a Kickboxing class on Fridays at my school. At my gym, there is a dancing class on mondays that looks like a lot of fun! =) I'll see what happens. Maybe on my days I can go for a walk or something. That would be fun, or lift weighs. Gotta keep my upper body strong for the days I do work as an EMT. Which will be once every two weeks. Lol.

Bekka- i'm disappointed in myself too. But instead of letting it ruin my whole week or month i'm jumping back on. You can do it.. I can do it! As much as i a was craving some wing dings and fries today, i know i have to be responsible for my health and to myself, ... a minute on the lips lasts forever on the hips.. so i ate my tuna and salad and it was actually pretty good.

We may fall of but the impt this is that we get back on ASAP instead of using it as an excuse to keep on messin up.

maybe if we post food journals that would help us be accountable... whatcha think??

          Hi all!!

Sounds like everyone is doing well. Let's see.... I've been on induction for 12 days and I've lost 8 lbs!! I'm pretty happy to say the least. I do have to admit, I'm so bored of induction and I'm looking forward to moving on.

Continue the great work everyone, keep it up!

              hi everyone
i started on july 14th.. 8 lbs down so far and i'm actually loving induction (i know i'm a freak). It's nice to be eating healthy and not wondering "whats for lunch" everyday because i already have it made and ready to go for work!
i'm a bit concerned about the upcoming weekend however, as i'm going to my hometown to visit family and friends where i know the booze will be flowing. as i'm not allowing myself even a sip of vodka i'm wondering what great lie i should come up with so i don't get the atkins rant. Any suggestions?

Maybe the old 'I am on medication which would react with alcohol' might work?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Week of July 14, 2008: Atkinites

Oh man it was so hard to wake up this morning!! But I did it anyway and I'm awake now! wOOt. =) Which is actually kind of nice, but I need to start tricking my body that getting 6 hours of sleep a night is absolutly fine. Especially since I'll be working as a dispatcher and working from 1800 to 0600 and I need to be awake til 10 sometimes because I want to go to the gym on mondays and do this dancing class thing. =) Or maybe I could always have Sundays off so I don't have to worry about that. I don't know yet. We'll see.

So, I was curious to see how much I weighed and I'm down another 2 pounds. I can't check how much I weigh til next thursday or so anyway because of me working 6 days in a row and my parents don't like it when I go in there room. For being on this 12 days I've gone down 12 pounds!!! That makes me happy.

Gotta keep on at it because that's the only way I'll be happy and motivated! =) And I still am! heck ya!

                  -Bekka

P.S- My friend who is going to SF state challenged me to lose weight. So I will think of her any time I want to cheat and realize that I'm ina competition! We will do this together, even if we are 400 miles or so apart. =) I'm gonna miss her, but when she gets back, we'll look very splendid!!!
