    Progress !

    slow and steady wins the race.... 13 lbs in just a month, didnt measure untill last saturday but since then have already lost a couple inches off my waist and an inch or two off thighs/hips etc etc

    so last saturday right after my husband measured me, i got dressed and announced that we had to go dress shopping for me, as his nephew is getting married in August and my son is getting married in October. He said politely that i had a ton of dresses in my closet and one was bound to fit me, i protested, and in a slight huff proceeded to pull dresses out of my closet and "show" him how they didnt fit. too tight here and not even close there.. but i continued... about the 3rd dress i pulled out (wore it 3 years ago to a wedding, (had since tried it on and it was way too tight in the middle) low and behold IT FIT !!! its a cute dressy summer dress and it will be perfect for an August wedding ! There is even another dress that even tho it doesnt quite fit now, it will by October and its a perfect "mother of the groom" dress.. so not only am i losing weight i am saving money ! woo hooo !

    Those husbands!!! You are a better woman than I am. I'd have been out the door with the charge card before he got the words "I'm sure you have plenty..." out of his mouth.

      That is wonderful.
      You can use the saved money for some special clothes down the road when even more pounds come off. Your husband owes you now.

        That's fantastic! I'm ready to wear all the clothes in my closet again... maybe a month from now I'll be able to start fitting in some of them.

            Absolutely It was a great moment for me when the sales girl at Evans (used to be advertised as 'Evans - The Outsize Shop') came back and said - "I am sorry, Madam, we dont have any clothes small enough for you"!!

                I'm already thinking of this GORGEOUS green gown I have. I wore it to his cousins wedding and it was the night we concieved our first child. Oh the memories!!!! (I led a conga line that night....and if you knew me better you'd be saying... "WHAT! YOU!! no way, to funny")

                Anyways, I told him when I fit in that gown again - I want him to take me somewhere special that I can wear it again. and he promised.


                Way to go! doesn't it feel great - I just pulled a pair of old shorts out this week and theya re already baggy!!!!
