I started Atkins on Sunday AM. According to the Atkins board, the body can only hold a 2 day supply of glucose in the body and so then Ketosis should start.
I have those analysis strips and I just used one. It didn't change color at all. Not even a smidgin. WHY have I not started ketosis yet? (It's been 2.5 days) I haven't cheated and I have been VERY careful not to go over 20g of carbs.
eg. I had a couple of eggs for breakfast each day. Lunch was tinned salmon, sardines or mackeral. with about 6 slices of cucumber.
Dinner has been a little shrimp or chicken fried in olive oil or butter. with 6 asparagus spears and a few mushrooms. In addition I've had splenda sweetened soda, decaf tea or coffee. For snack, I've had up to 5-6 olives a day. That's it. I don't understand it.
