    McDonalds eggs and breakfasts

    Fair warning........

The breakfast burritos and the scrambled eggs ARE NOT real egg. It is powdered egg mixed with water.

You can however get a COMPLETELY ATKIN legal breakfast if your in a rush by ordering:

1 REAL egg used on the mcmuffin.
bacon, canadian bacon, or sausage (it sucks)
    and cheese.

Cost is roughly $2.50-$3.50 and is so much better than the crappy fake egg breakfast.

    Re: McDonalds eggs and breakfasts

That's what I did. On the way to the races last weekend my husband stopped at McDonalds and I got a sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin because it comes w/ the real egg. He ate my muffin with some jelly on it that I had in the car from Ihop!

      Re: McDonalds eggs and breakfasts

Sometimes it really sucks to have fastfood resturants that claim they've got the real thing! In my day of working at McD's, my first job, everything was fresh---even the eggs. We had to crack and whip for scrambled and cook the fried eggs as the sandwiches were made; not held in a holding warmer until service. The times have changed!

And because it's just something to keep in mind if you happen upon fastfood for quick meals....the McD's uses processed cheese and not real cheese. Processed cheese is not allowed during Induction (I actually just had to look that up again to make sure I'm repeating what Dr. A wrote ).
