  • Atkins Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar

    Hello everyone,
I read on Atkins.com that you can have the chocolate peanut butter bar at a supposed 2 net carbs but it does not add up according to my calculations! Has anyone tried those bars....because on Atkins.com it states that you can use these during induction????I am just worried about ruining my induction and having to start over again!

i have used the bars as a sweet treat/snack not sure if i would lose more without them but they really come in handy when you have a craving

Yeah, so... we follow 2002 DANDR, and on induction you are only supposed to eat the foods listed in the "acceptable foods" of the book. Check the ingredients of anything you consume against the list... It's true some people can get away with eating them and still lose weight, but why would you want to chance it when it's something silly like that??

I still believe, Net carbs = Total Carbs - Fiber.

Peanuts aren't allowed during Induction Phase.

          Rules of Induction #4

"4. Eat absolutely no fruit, bread, pasta, grains, starchy vegetables or dairy products other than cheese, cream or butter. Do not eat nuts or seeds in the first two weeks. Foods that combine protein and carbohydrates, such as chickpeas, kidney beans and other legumes, are not permitted at this time. "

          Peanuts are a legume.
