  • Need Some Help

Hi, my name is Ben, im wicked new to the Atkins Plan, and have been going for almost 2 weeks now. About 1 week in though I started being bad again, and eating things I shouldnt have been (even though they were small amounts I knew I was going way over my net carbs for the day).

I honestly have no idea how much I weigh, as im to big to have a scale read my weight. I believe I am between 350-375ibs and at 20 years old, I cant live like that the rest of my life. I really need some motivation from other people to keep this things going, and tips and tricks. I know it works, because 1 week in I was at another notch on my belt. But I guess I just need help getting through this induction clean. I think If I can do that then It will be easier for me the rest of the diet. I have decided since I was bad the past couple days, I am just going to extend my induction.

Please Post any tips or tricks that anyone might have. Also Im looking for help with things like snack foods (I think thats where I get to many carbs in a day). ANy help would be greatly appreciated

      Re: Need Some Help

Hi there and welcome!! Getting past a 2 week induction clean is really key - you're craving WILL dissapear and the snacking desire will go away. I know it's hard to fathom. For me thekey int he first few weeks is TONS of water and I snack on cheese when i get the munchies. Pork Rinds are also good for this "have to have somethg crunchy and salty" moment and gum is good too. You will find lots of support here. You can do it!!

        Re: Need Some Help

Welcome! Congratulations on making a decision to help yourself at such a young age! There is definitely a benefit to starting young (My husband is only 24 and will attest that the longer you wait the harder it is to lose weight)

Good luck in having a clean induction!!!!
