  • New start, new life. *7-30-08*

    I'm back again! I've been on and off this board for about a year now and have only actually stuck to Atkins for about 3 weeks back in October 2007 and lost 13 lbs in those 3 weeks BUT gained it all back in about 4 months. Well..needless to say, I need to change my eating habits and lose some extra lbs I've put on in the past few years. I'm ready to change my life and begin this new WOE for good!

    I'm weighing myself in the morning and will update my starting weight in my siggy tomorrow.

    Is anyone else starting tomorrow?

            Good job Chelsey, I know you can do it! I am on day 12 and while it hasn't been the easiest thing in the world, it is working and I am starting to feel better. We are all in this thing together--and we are here to support each other.

                    Hi and welcome back hope u start of on a great track, i would like to start asap! but i am so confused because i thought that Atkins not only consisted on low carbs but also using their products like shakes, and bars. So now i am reading alot about the success stories and really no one mentions using any of this things so i really don't know. Is there a site where it tells you what to eat and not to in the 14 day enduglment? and if there is can u please e-mail it to me because i am supposed to go grocery shooping today. Thanks and hope to hear from u soon

                      We follow Dr Atkins 2002 version here. Don't use the bars and shakes they have been know to stall people and are not allowed during induction on this version. There is a sticky for your wallet in the forum section to print out and read all the stickies in this forum as well. But I really recommend buying the book. A small investment in what is supposed to be your life plan of eating. It will tell you how to do it...what foods to eat when and what to look out for.
