  • Holy Cow This Is Working!

    Today is day 12 of induction
    I have been upset up until now because I really don't feel like my appetite has suppressed AT ALL and because of this induction thing, I didn't want to take chances so I've been eating at home. Long story short, I saw my friend today and she was shocked that I had lost some of my love handles!! I didn't even realise it myself, especially because I had been mulling over the scale. THis is absolutely fantastic people!!!! The worse part about being a student is late night snacking, which I sadly...have done..but IT WORKED REGARDLESS!
    I'm starting to wonder if yoyo dieting over the years has screwed up my body so much that it takes longer to use my fat storage
    Anyway, I just wanted to share my happiness.
    Keep up the good work, I'm off to the gym!

    Hey! Good for you, I haven't lost that many pounds either but definitely have less pudge under the braline. It is really nice!

      Congratulations. I have not lost pounds lately either but all my pants are getting saggy in the bum area. Nothing wrong with snacking - any time on Atkins - as long as you stay legal.

            Well, I see that you've lost 5 of 25 lbs to lose to be at goal. That's great for this stage!!!! That's a 20% loss!! Congrats to you!!!!

            That's much better than the goals set out in DANDR, so I hope you will continue with what has worked for you and continue to post positive results for others to see! You're doing great!!!!!

            Calling it GOAL at this point. I'm happy with where I am now and hope to stay there, or maybe even take it down a little more.

              Congratulations! I'm only day 3 so am inspired by your post.

              I do want to add a tidbit I learned yesterday. I was taking a class for fat metabolism and insulin resistance (I'm IR) and the nutritionist stressed something over and over again. She said try not to eat atleast 2 hours before bed time. I noticed that you said you snack in the evenings - I am an evening-snacker, as well, so it will take some work to not eat two hours before bed. She said that some of her clients have lost weight JUST by doing that one thing. Pretty cool!
