  • Too much protien?

My numbers for the past two days have been off according to fitday. Today my calorie consumtion consisted of
    Fat: 114 1025 58%
    Sat: 23 210 12%
    Poly: 4 35 2%
    Mono: 17 149 8%
    Carbs: 21 66 4%
    Fiber: 5 0 0%
    Protein: 169 678 38%
    Alcohol: 0 0 0%

Yesterday was similar, as you can see I am under on my fat percentages and over on my protien. How negatively will this affect my progress?

the answer depends on your metabolism and what your insuklin resistance is as you car converting proteins to sugar in your liver and caould be spiking inulin which stores fats.

It is very easy to fix it if you need to by adding a little fat to your veggies or fods as they are getting done cooking.

The most important thing is how do you feel and how are your inches and scale numbers doing?

The scale keeps on moving, the inches haven't really done anything. Prolly just losing water weight I guess. I feel ok although I felt a little funky this afternoon, in a daze. But I am not craving nor is my brain telling me that just one bite will make me feel better like it was. I guess I have heard so many horror stories about this diet I tend to freak myself out a bit. Maybe you guys can dispel the myths about heart muscle deterioration and kidney failure.

oh please don'tr get me started on that stupid flawed logic Atkins will harm kidneys because folks who have damamged kinneys have to restrict their protein intakes so high protein diets like Atkins harnm healthy kidneys. LOL LOL man somebody needs to go back to elenmentary school and learn set theory cause high protein diets causing kidney damage isn't in the set listed where that assumption is comeing from. If you need proof you can go to WedMD.com and do a search on doesd high protein cause kidney damage and up will pop an artickle that says it does but when you read it you will be told in no uncertain terms that it does not harm healthy kidnesy and even mentions the Atkins plan by name as not harming healthy kidneys.

Now on to hearts. First did you know the preferred food of the heart muscle is ketones? Didi you know hearts run backwards from other muscles in that when insulin is high heart muscles still burn fats so just how is your heart going to explode from those fats we are feeding it. Did you know Dr Atkins was a cardiologist practicing in New York City and treating his patients with his diet plan before he ever wrote the books? And we know all about lawsuits in NY so don't you think if anybody could prove it harmed those folk they would have sued the pants of him? didn'thappen did it? He actually had patients whose cholesterol blockage was cleared up by eating his program as he discussed on Larry King in Jan 2003.

If you need any more brain scrubbing just ask many of the board will assist you in cleaning out those bad ideas that have been planted in your head by our news media. Oh and the AHA said in 2002 Ooops we made a boo boo it wasn't the fats that raised the cholesterol, :nono it was the saturated and transfats. ensive
        Happy low carbing.

Your protein looks a bit high, but if you were working out and exercising hard, I wouldn't even bat an eye at those numbers. If you felt full and satiated at the end of the day, I would not question it. If you still felt a bit hungry, that would be my cue to up my fat intake. If you are eating acceptable foods in acceptable amounts, don't sweat the percentages of protein vs. fat yet.
