Well I've just had my dinner on Day 4 - two large pork steaks with butter, a small portion of broccoli and a small portion of mushrooms fried in butter (i'm having to work hard to eat enough fat -= hence all the butter!!)
Re veggies - the portions (cups) of veggies are fairly small, right? I only ended up with about 4 smallish heads of broccoli - is that right? I'm going by the weights on the 'cup stickie' post.
I was at an offsite work meeting today, held at a really lovely posh hotel (Welcome to the Manor House Hotel, Castle Combe - Exclusive Hotels) and they served up a waitress service lunch for us. "uh oh" I thought! I didn't want to tell my colleagues I was on any sort of special diet as they're the type who would tell me 'oh go on, one bread roll won't hurt tho!'. I'd brought some cheese with me in case of emergencies, but in the end I think I did quite well. I ordered asparagus tart for starter - which came with a slow cooked hens egg and lettuce - and ate everything but the tart! (such a waste). Then I ordered the beef - asked for it without the red wine jus, and just ate the meat and left the mash and spinach (it looked creamy).
So that was probably ok right? I had the cheese too btw for afternoon snack (everyone else was eating delicious homemade cakes so I needed something!). Oh, and when I arrived two of the ladies said it looked as though I'd lost weight! And that's without them knowing I'm dieting. I must admit that my clothes are definitely feeling looser- I didn't weigh myself today but as of yesterday (day 3) I'd lost 3lbs...which shouldn't really make me lose much inchwise yet surely?
Anyway, I'm defintiely going to keep going. I only want to lose another 5lbs so I'm starting to think about 'what's next'. Do I go on to OWD or maintenance? What would happen if I went back to just 'healthy eating' - would the weight immediately go back on? I know you're all massive Atkins promoters and will want me to keep going on maintenance, but I'd appreciate some honest advice as to what would happen if I switched back to a lowfat calorie controlled diet after this?
