  • Does induction change sleep???

    Good morning,

I'm on Day 7 of induction and have found over the past 3 nights that I cannot stay asleep. Is anyone else having this as well? Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Lisa

    Re: Does induction change sleep???

    Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean by "I cannot stay asleep"... like, "after sleeping 10 hours I can't sleep another one" - which makes sense... or, "I can't sleep for more than 7 hours"?

For some reason, being on Atkins allows you to sleep less without being tired. Before starting Atkins, when I had classes from 8 am (had to wake up at 6:30) I had to use an alarm clock. On Atkins I don't... I just wake up at 6-6:30 without any problem.

Although this might have happened because I was drinking too much water before going to bed... hmmm... Anyway, it's something to be glad about, isn't it?

I'm on Day 6 and I'm experiencing the same thing. It feels like I'm tossing and turning all night, and while I am asleep I have crazy dreams.

Could it be the wild mushrooms I'm eating?

      Or the toad I licked?

Hopefully it goes away but the EL -BEES are FLYING off so I can deal...

      Good luck!

Thanks for responding! It's just nice to know I'm not in this alone!

Sleeping 10 hours????? Oh, I wish! 3 kids, a hubby, 2 cats and a dog...not going to happen!

Just to clarify, I have a full day feel sleepy when crawling into bed at around 11 pm just then just can't fall asleep! For two nights, I finally got up about midnight and busied myself for about an hour before crawling back into bed at about 1 am. Between 1 am to 8:30 am, I'm waking up about every two hours. Sometimes it's just to go to the bathroom (yep, I'm still adjusting to the water intake!) but other times I'm just wide awake!

I do know what you mean about dreams. Last night I had a dream I had to harvest the wheat before I could make a loaf of bread...can you tell what I'm missing the most?

Hope you're all having a great day!
