  • Back again!...With questions.

Right...i thought i was done with atkins forever, because everytime i tried to do it i couldn't because of the lack of sugar, i have an extremly bg sweet tooth. But, i decided to give it a go again and looked on the website and it now says you can have the atkins bars and shakes in induction!

Is this true? What does everyone think? Do you recomend them.

With the bars and shakes i think i might actually be able to do it!

I wouldn't recommend it. Induction is designed to break the carb/sweet cravings. BUT, I think if it were me and it were a situation where I could use this product as a tool to wean me into a "clean" induction then I may use it IF I really felt I would completely fail the diet without it. In this situation I may use it as baby steps into induction. The key being that it would be baby steps into the standard induction that will be effective in breaking the carb cravings. This isn't how I choose to do this diet but I can see how a person may be able to. Keep in mind though, these foods can backfire and make you crave more and more.

I use them along with SlimFast Low Carb vanilla shakes as emergency only situations. I have a couple at work because sometimes (not as often as before though) I crave something sweet SO BAD that I will actually get all the way to the vending machine put my dollar in and then come to and hit cancel to get my money back. But that only happens if I stay late at work, because there are other things that will get my sweets craving to go away too. Since I've started Atkins, what is sweet to me has changed. now if I need something sweet I'll eat a babybel cheese wheel and it actually tastes sweet to me. During induction, I didn't use any shakes or bars and last week was week 3 and I only used 1 shake because my hubby was making milk shakes for our niece and nephew and I wanted one so bad so I grabbed a vanilla low carb slim fast shake... but that's a rare situation and like others, if you really want to see results (especially in induction) I believe it's better to go 100% clean. Good Luck on making your decision!!!
