I read that I a lot of you snack on jello so I bought a few boxes myself today but I was wondering if its safe to eat all the time. Thanks

Nope, you should count it as 1 carb because it has sweetener in it. At least that's how I understand it
I will stay on my diet. I will get healthy and lose weight. There is nothing I could eat or drink that tastes as good as how I feel at this moment on this WOE ~ nothing!

Sugar-free Jello gelatin contains aspartame. Dr. Atkins said that aspartame slows or stalls weight loss in some folks. So, you really should avoid the stuff.

Before anyone jumps on my case, yes....I know in a sample Induction menu in the book, there is something called "sugar-free gelatin dessert" on it. But note: it doesn't say Jello Brand gelatin (because that contains aspartame, which according to the Induction Acceptable Foods list is off limits!) You may make your own sugar-free gelatin dessert using splenda or saccharin and unflavored gelatin---follow the recipe on the box and use flavor extracts (vanilla, strawberry, etc.)

Also, you must count one serving of this as one of your 3 daily allotments for sugar substitute.

Based on the phrases "bought a few boxes" and "eat all the time" I would say that you are setting yourself up to fail regardless of whether aspartame is okay for you or not.

I use aspartame sweetened items as a rare treat without a problem although YMMV (your mileage may vary). I typically eat (or drink) something with aspartame once or twice a week which makes it a rare indulgence rather than a daily commodity.

My advice is to try not2late's idea first, hold out on the SF Jell-O for a while and after a clean induction, reward yourself with some Jell-O (and see how it affects weight loss).

No - try not to reward yourself with food!!!

Maybe experiment with adding a legally sweetened homemade gelatine dessert as suggested in DANDR as an 'occasional' dessert, but definitely do not think of it as a reward.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

As a general rule, you should not "eat all the time" what is not all natural. Aspartame may or may not be of an issue ; but what about the other synthetic, artificial ingredients??
As a matter of fact, it is dangerous to "eat all the time" synthetic, artificial food".

                goodbye artificials!
