    So after my lunch today I was up to 19 carbs already
    Now its dinner and I am about to make pork chops thinking that they were 0 carbs and just read the back that says they have 2 carbs

    Here's my menu today
    Breakfast
    3 scram. eggs w/ 1slice cheese
    1tbsp butter
    4 slices of bacon
    1 coffee w/ 3 splenda & 2tbsp half n half
    (6 carbs)

    Lunch
    2c salad w/ .5 cucumber, .5 celery, 1/4c chedd ch, 1tbsp bacon bit & 2tbsp ranch dressing
    4oz solid white tuna w/3tbsp mayo and .5 celery
    (13 carbs)


    I'm not any good at planning my meals ahead of time but it looks like I really need to start!! At this point I don't even know what to have tonight that won't add anymore carbs for the day

    Just cook the pork chops and maybe take a 1/2 hour walk..(it will only put you over one) But what pork chops are you making? I've never counted carbs for pork chops before .. now you have me wondering

      Pork Loin boneless pork chops, I found an atkins pork chop recipe online with mustard, herbs and parm cheese. I did workout for 40 minutes today maybe I'll be ok afterall!!??

      Any ideas for 0 carb snacks? I think I might be hungry later after eating only 1 pork chop for dinner

        I think you will be fine! zero carb snacks.. hmm... Do you have any pepperoni? A few slices may tide you over.. drink lots of water an if you are still hungry maybe just go to bed early..

          Are you counting net carbs?
          Most of your carbs should come from veggies. So you may want to work on that.
          Meat should have no carbs. If they have carbs something has been added to them. Is there an ingredient list on the package?

            No pepperoni, but I do have sugar free jello And going to bed early sounds like a GREAT idea!!!

            Hmmmm not sure what you mean, I did have veggies for lunch (well salad veggies) thats what most of my carbs are.I was gonna have more veggies for dinner BUT I had too many carbs today!! I am still not sure about the difference of net carbs/carbs Thats what I thought about the meat-ingredients for these chops are-pork, pork stock, potassium lactate, sodium phosphate, salt and natural flavorings

              Oooops, I just went over my meals for today I use myfitnesspal and I seen that I put in the wrong ranch dressing which had 4 carbs and the 1 I had only had 2 carbs, So I fixed it and after putting in my 1 pork chop I am at 18 carbs yeahhhh!!!
              Sorry, that'll teach me to pay attention

                Mel,
                You are supposed to count net carbs. It makes it much easier not to get to 20 so fast
                All veggies have some fiber and we deduct the fiber carbs.
                Are you familiar with fitday? You should try to use it. It will add up the fiber for you.
                Looking at your list it looked to me like most of your carbs came from things like cheese, dressing, cream and bacon bits. I could be wrong.

                  I did try fitday but it seemed a little confusing to use!! I'll have to try again

                    to get net carbs you just take the total carbohydrate and subtract the fiber..

                      Fitday does take some getting used to. I have come to love it though. It keeps me on the straight and narrow.

                      You can also use a spreadsheet like this


                      Or this one (it lists the netcarbs - so no deducting required)

                        I wouldnt stress on being one or two carbs over your limit ... just drink alot of water and watch a little closer from now on ... enjoy your dinner

                          The ticker you use has a food diary on it... it has a ton of brand names too....

                          Another one is Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople and it is relatively self explainatory... I am on that one as BonnieRose16 as well...

                            I love sparkpeople! I found a really good induction friendly recipe on there yesterday. They have WONDERFUL articles and it's such a great tracker!
