  • Fitday vs Atkins Carb Counter

    Which is better?

I have been using Atkins Carb Counter (ACC) but just discovered Fitday and it seems to be much more informative.
The big negative is that it seems to be ALOT slower and more sluggish to use, I log my carbs at work and like the tiny amount of time it takes to use ACC.

Have you guys had much success with either of these programs?

I do worry that the Atkins Carb Counter isn't counting every single carb effectively.

i use fitday everyday and i like it very much. when i first started using it (years ago), it took a little while to learn, but i really think it's a valuable tool for this woe.

i don't know anything about the ACC program though, so i can't help ya there.

Re: Fitday vs Atkins Carb Counter

I still like DailyPlate.com over FitDay any day.

It gathers the carb info from various sources, including users inputting it off of the nutritional information from labels. I do have to say that when I haven't been near a computer, I have used a written log and filled in the carb amounts later. It's definitely harder to stick on plan that way, but it works.

I use a combination of Spark People
and the one that you'll find if you click on my weight ticker. It looks like it's just a ticker when you click on it but once you make your ticker, you'll be able to track foods too.

Spark People: I find a lot more name brands than on fitday. However I don't know if that's just because I am incompetent with fitday or what? You can also search through the foods that other members have added and then add the ones that you can't find... I know other sites do that too, I guess I'm just used to spark so I find it pretty easy to use It is very accurate too (except mayo says 7 carbs for some reason so I put my mayo in myself...
