  • another question

    Here is what I've had to eat today:

    For breakfast: 3 egg omelet with cheese and 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage patties and 2 eggs (what can i say? i was hungry). This was at 10am

    For lunch, I'm trying to eat some fish, but i've only managed about 2 bites. I'm just not hungry at all. its been 6 hours since I last ate, but i can't eat it. I just....can't. I feel nauseous just looking at the piece of fish. its Cod fish, in case anybody was wondering.

    Is this normal? Not being able to eat? Or not wanting to eat?

    i dont really know if it is normal or not but my appetite seems to have disappeared to .. before me starting this diet i used to feel hungry all the time and now im on induction i just dont seem to get hungry.

    but i supose the key is to eat. there is no point in not eating or starving yourself i guess just try and have a little bit.

    i have set times when i eat .. 11am, about 2pm and then again about 6pm (and thats only maybe a packet of peanuts or some cheese) but the other two meals i eat are suffiecent enough to make me feel full.

    maybe try eating little and often so that you dont get so full up so quickly and then not eat for more than 6 waking hours ...

      :yes Yes, beri, its very normal! And a good thing! It means that you are finally experiencing what we love about Atkins; where your body is not hungry and no longer craves empty, sugary, crappy foods! Rejoice! Although, you should try to make sure you don't go 6 hours or more without eating. If you have this experience of not feeling hungry after 6 hours, you might want to leave yourself a tiny bit hungrier previous meal. Not starving, but not totally full, if you know what I mean. Somedays you may feel not hungry next meal and somedays, you are just normal. If you aren't hungry by 7 ir 8 hours, you really should try a little something. Maybe not fish; try a little vegg, some cheese, a hard-boiled egg. Otherwise, be happy you aren't starving all day like low fat plans, you finally know the meaning of freedom from food! :joy

        good for you! your appetite suppression side effect of your Atkins ketogenic eating plan is working and now you won't be having so much for breakfast any more

        You do need to have a bit of fat and some of your carbs when you have reached the 6 hr mark as Dr Atkins tells us in DANDR.
