  • My Day 1

Wow am I ever STUFFED. I'm so incredibly full.

Does anybody use spices in their food? I find that the seasonings/spices are like, 2 carbs and that seems like a LOT!

I'm at 20 carbs exactly for the day. HOWEVER....this does not include the 2 diet cokes and 2 splenda's I had in my coffee. Do I REALLY have to include that??? I really don't want to! That will bring me to 24.

I know I've got to cut out the sweetners! I know this is weird, but I actually don't feel terrible right now so I'm not sure I had a great day.

If I wake up in the morning sick with a headache and 'induction flu' I will be happy. I want to feel like all the sugar is OUT of my body!

Hope y'all had a great day!!

How much spices are you thinking of using? Most recipes are for several servings, so even if they have a couple of carbsworth of spices that works out to maybe half of one carb per serving if the recipe makes 4 servings.

you only have to include the sweetener carbs if you want to follow the rules of Atkins
    But seriously,
The packets of splenda do contain carbs due to the filler in them, so count one per packet - or use the tablets which have less filler.

As for the sweetener in diet drinks, the manufacturer uses liquid splenda which officially do not have carbs, but you are supposed to count the servings of sweetener in your 'up to 3 servings' per day, so even if you decide not to count carbs for them you do need to count servings. One serving of a drink is generally 8 fluid ounces, so a 12 ounce can has one and a half servings, making 2 cans be your complete sweetener servings for the day (if you are following the rules )

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
