I really don't like to brag, but I really need to share because I went thru something that was VERY difficult for me yesterday. My good friends wedding was yesterday, and it was day 13 of induction for me. Up to this point I had been just about "clean" in my induction (one day i misscounted how many veggies I ate, and went over the 20 carbs).
Anyways, I was able to avoid the pasta main dish by getting some chicken (which i was leary of because I didnt know what it was cooked in) and loading my plate up w/ a salad. They only had ranch dressing, and im sure it wasnt the best for me, but I used a moderate amount, and I am sure i went WAY over 4oz of cheese w/ appetizers, because I was a fool and didnt eat at home close enough to the wedding, and was starved.
I was also able to avoid the open bar, which honestly, was a killer. I like to drink, especially at big parties, and my friend even drove us out there, so I didnt even have to worry about having to limit myself due to the law. But I stayed strong and nursed a little glass of watered down burbon just so I wouldn't catch flak from other people. We are all kinda party animals, so as long as I had that little something in my hand, I FELT like I was not depriving myself of a good time.
And lastly, I had no surgar cravings to avoid the wedding cake. That one was suprizingly easy.
I could have easily wrecked myself on the last part of induction, but I'm really happy with myself. I know I did not have a day straight w/in the rules, but I did not kick my self out of ketosis, and I live to fight another day
.
PS: Sorry for all the patting myself off the back, but I really had to share w/ someone, lol.
