  • Induction: headache

It's day 3 of my inudction and I have had a headache for about two days. Is this the withdrawal flu?

Also, I am a bit nervous as I am eating stuff that is the direct opposite of what my normal weight loss diets were. this morning I had a cheese and eggs and bacon.

Yup, what you've just experienced should be the induction flu or withdrawal symptoms from carbs. The beauty of this diet lies in eating protein, so keep the eggs and bacon coming! However, you should watch your cheese intake as Dr.A only permits 3-4oz per day. Good luck with it

yep!!!! sounds like the induction flu, it usually only lasts a few days though. then you'll feel much better.

most of us has done the low fat/low cal diets until it's pounded into our brains that it the only way to lose weight. then thanks to Dr Atkins and his research, we've seen the light and realize that eating the right low carb foods is truly the only way to go. not to mention that on the low fat/low cal diets atleast for me, i always seemed to be hungry. on this WOE, the appetite becomes somewhat suppressed. some people find it difficult to not fall back into trying to do atkins low fat, but high fat, low carb healthy foods is the way to go.

      hope you feel better soon.

It's also called "detoxing"....lovely thing your body goes through during the "cleansing" process. I found drinknig water, taking a Tylonal, and exercise helpful.

The Aleve Gelcaps seem to be very fast on headaches.

            Glad you feel better!

I am at this moment eating a 2 egg omelet with portabello mushrooms and pico, with a little pepperjack cheese, sour cream on top.

Yes, you can eat like this, feel satisfied, and lose weight!

And yes, do keep drinking up!
