This will be a bit long-winded but bear with me!
I can't believe it......ME...on day 3 and no cheating!! Woo hoo!! :joy I have to say that this board helped me tremedously and I do know I would have not got this far without it. I can't believe that for the first time in a long time, I am on day 4 tomorrow. I knew that I would be tempted at work a bit but that is only because I usually am so busy, I am lucky I get a break. So then everything starts looking dang good and I usually break my weak will and eat it. Oh, did I mention I work for PIZZA HUT?? :yikes Can U imagine, serving, making and cutting pizza and breadsticks all day only to never eat any? Sometimes the smell makes me nuts. It takes all my willpower not to eat those breadsticks.
Anyways, I made something that maybe other newbies might want to try, to help me. I made what I call "Cheating Cards". What they are is 3 x 5 index cards and I put things that I can read when a craving hits me and what to do about it and some general positive things to read to keep me strong. One that I made says, " Food is not life. There is more to life than eating. You are stronger than food or any craving. This (insert food) cannot control you; take back your power and your life". I HAD to read that one today! I made several cards and I keep them in my backpack and take them to work or whereever I go. I pull them out and read them all the time and you know what? It makes me stronger each time and I resist that much better. They are my own little "slap" of reality. I really surprised myself at work when someone offered me a peanut butter cookie and I said NO thank you! I NEVER refuse free food! LOL! Ok, talking too much; wrapping it up. lol! i just wanted to say how happy I am to make it this far and how grateful I am to all the support I get from you all. Yahooooo!!! Cheat free 3 days!!!
