  • Starting tomorrow and really excited!

I posted in the introductions section, but wanted to stop by here as well. I have been on WW since February and went from 247-240. Not very impressive. I became a carb-a-holic, and with PCOS, that was not a good thing. After speaking to my doctor, he agreed that low-carb was the way to go and here I am. Starting induction tomorrow. I am really psyched to get this weight off once and for all. I started back at Curves and hope to make it there at least 4 times a week and will do some other stuff at home on the days I don't get there.

I look forward to speaking to you all!

good luck! i also tried WW and didn't have much success. i kept finding ways around those points and borrowing them from other days - just didn't work. this diet works as long as you stick to it and it seems easier than others to stick to. go to the recipe board also there are lots of good ideas.

Another ww flunkie right here! I'm almost done with induction (althought I am going to hang around for awhile) but like the pp said as long as you stick to the program it will work! Best of luck and I'm sure we'll see each other around!

Add one more for WW Flunkie roll call! It worked when I was in HS... lost about 30 lbs in 3 months before graduation.. was super excited but gained back as soon as I went to college and didn't know how many points were in things so I just quit... fast forward 6 years.... Here I am! I have to say the best thing must be that no matter where you go to eat there will always be something you can have. It's so much easier to just remove the bread from something and ask the cook if it has any added sugar/flour/cornstarch products then to try and find some low calorie item on a menu of high calorie foods....

I also have PCOS... My Endo told me that Atkins is actually his prefered method for stabillizing PCOS, IR and Diabetes! He's lost 150 lbs and kept it off for several years himself, so it's pretty great to see!!!!

        WELCOME GIRL!!!!

Re: Starting tomorrow and really excited!

Good luck! I actually gained on WW (I think 2lbs. per week if I recall correctly). I lost 90lbs. in 9 months on Atkins. I think that speaks for itself

threeoneeighty, welcome to the board ! I hope that you find this is the best plan for you. I absolutely love it. When I first started I used to think about having non-Atkins things once I reached my goal weight. Honestly, I prefer to eat this way. For me, to eat a high-carb diet results in fatigue, bloating, and migraines.

Read lots and post often! Best wishes...
