  • WAHOOOOOOO!!!!!! DAY 4!!!

    :wave Hi all!

    I am on a roll! Woooo hooo!!! I can't believe it! I am on day 4 and going to day 5! Today was a close call, too. I was a little nausous this morning and amazingly not hungry but still ate breakfast; not too much though.I didn't have time to eat lunch at work today because we were so busy and only 2 people showed up for work. I had my lunch, though, just never had time to eat it there. I was cutting breadsticks and Gosh, they smelled sooooo good. I had almost talked myself into just giving in and eating them when I remembered that I am almost 1 week clean and I have worked dang hard to get here. Also, the thought of coming back here and being accountable to all of you for cheating was just unthinkable for me! LOL! See, you guys scare me! LOL! Just kidding! I also had a moment of clarity. I had read my "cheating cards" earlier that morning and one of the phrases came to my head. How miserble would I feel after eating them and destroying all my progress? Pretty bad. How would I feel knowing I went through my day clean? Pretty dang terrific. So I waited and ate as soon as my backpack touched the floor in the house to avoid the fridge. After that, I was perfect! I am still hanging in there and hoping to celebrate day 7 on Tuesday!!

    P.S. I know we shoouldn't weigh ourselves just yet but I couldn't help it with the scale staring at me this morning; I am down 5 lbs already! :yikes Yipppppeeeee!! but I know not to get too stoked yet.

        Good for you I'm so proud of you for not cheating and for using your tools to asssit you with your Atkins. Place this day in an easy to remember place and you will have created another "cheating" card too.

          Changing your diet is a huge mental and emotional task, isn't it?

          You did so well, I hope you're really proud of yourself! :hug

          You faced the situation, you were in the moment, fully conscious of what your choices were, and you took control of the food, you didn't let the food take control of you!
          See how powerful you are?!!

          You can do this...you've just proved it....thats a fantastic job of using the tools you've discovered to keep yourself on track..well done!!
