Welcome to ketosis! Your yuckiness should go away in a day or so as your body is going through a carb withdrawal. My body was to the point of almost shaking!

As for the funky taste in your mouth, I'm not sure it goes away anytime soon. I've grown accustomed to it since we started close to a month ago. For me, the taste lets me know that I'm burning fat and doing good things for my body

We have all been there, yes, it is normal to feel yuck, and yes, it is temporary. My breath doesn't stay all that funny in ketosis, maybe you wil be lucky, too. I do still 'go' quite frequently, but not as bad as those first few days. Drink your water, and stick it out, you will feel amazing soon!

Yep, is normal - but it doesn't have to be that bad, y'all!

There is a diuretic event when your body switches from carb- to fat-burning mode and with it go often a huge amount of water and also electrolytes (ie, potassium, magnesium, and other mineral salts). This can put your system out of whack until the body's metabolic readjustment is stablized. Headaches, dizziness, blas, weakness... even shakiness can be minimized not just with water but better, with replacing those salts as well.

I avoid the so-called "induction flu" by drinking lots of water and taking supplements with those elements, sipping broth with salty seasoning, adding sea salt and epsom salt etc. along with my food.
