I vaguely remember reading something about Dr Atkins discussing the benefits of Stevia and how its awful that the US only allows it to be sold as a supplement and not a true sweetener. Jimmy Moore of "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb" has a post about it.
I've not tried it myself but I noticed its available in two different forms (powdered and liquid) in the "sugar replacements" area at my local London Drugs (I'm in British Columbia) so I might give it a try.

An apple a day keeps anyone away if you throw it hard enough!
When I was on Atkins the first time I used "Sweet 'n Low". I believe Dr. Atkins said that was okay. However, I never liked the taste of things with it added. I figured all sweeteners were the same. I was soooo wrong. I am using Splenda this time around and I do not taste that "fake sugar" kind of taste from it when added to coffee, tea, etc.
So, if possible, I would recommend using Splenda if you can. It just tastes better than any other sweetener that I've tried. Of course, that is my own personal opinion!

Unfortunately, as far as I have been able to find out, sweetzfree and other similar brands of liquid sucralose will not sell to anyone outside North America.

Stevia is a good sweetner. I use the liquid, it only takes a couple of drops to get the desired sweetness. I also saw a sweetener Zsweet. I don't know if it is legal or not, but I believe it is as sweet as splenda, but supposedely natural.

Hello Vicci,
I'm so happy that you are staying away from Splenda. GOOD FOR YOU!
As I've grown in the health and wellness realm, I've become very passionate about being natural and organic with what I'm putting into my body. While the FDA still doesn't ban these products, I could go on and on about research I've found about aspartame (the sweetener in Diet Coke). The main thing I want you to do is try your best to limit your exposure to it.
If strictly water (the best option!) is out of the question, drink unsweetened ice tea or coffee — both have zero calories. If you need to sweeten your food, coffee or tea, xylitol and stevia are better, more natural options than sucralose (Splenda). Xylitol is a naturally occurring sweetener that's extracted from the fibers of hard wood(birch), certain fruits and vegetables, and stevia comes from a South American plant.
I personally use xylitol all the time, usually one packet at a time in my coffee or tea. It's nontoxic, but since it's a sugar alcohol, you could have digestive issues if you use a lot of it. I've never had a problem.
Splenda is nothing but a chemicle soup and is so harmful to our health. This is what Splenda is- #17
I personally us Xylital, derivative from Birch (hardwood)Brand name Smart Sweet(Xylitol). I order it on-line at www.longlifeunlimited.com . I also use liquid stevia.
It's best to stay away from chemicle based sweetners and stick with the natural ones.
Sincerely, Sherri

Sherri-
Have you tried the flavored liquid stevia sweetners listed on the website you mention? The Chocolate Raspberry sounds so yummy!

Hi, As far as I know Stevia doesn't have a calorie count nor a carb count. I mainly order the Smart Sweet 4.5 lbs., Xyletol single packets, and the Xponent mints. I havn't tried the chocolate raspberry stevia. It does sound yummy though, ha. Another reason I like the Xylitol from this company because it is made from Birch(hardwood) that is an anti-fungul and has SOOOO many health benifits. Sherri
