    Wow i didnt think I could do this, but here i am day 6. i got my fierst experience of "metallic mouth" it felt like i had just tested an alkaline battery with my tongue... i was like YESSSSS ITS HAPPENING!!!! lol

    my belt went down a knotch, im like whaat daaaa??? anyways i used the advice and perfected my diet. i am never hungry and at the point where i am used to everything and feeling good...

    this diet is giving me the confidence to change my life and stick with something, i feel like i do when i see OBAMA give a speech, its just very inspiring, this community has been so good and i love browsing this place

    anyways im staying away from scales until a few weeks because im just going to stick with it, use my ketox strips, and ride this ketosis baby!

    That is great!! Keep up the good work! Good idea staying away from the scales for a while. Do take your measurements though as there are a lot of times when the scale doesn't move or we think we are in a stall and the inches are moving instead..weird but true!

      That's fantastic! Congratulations on making it six days...that itself is a big deal. Isn't it funny how the little accomplishments like noticing looser clothes are SO exciting?! I'm on day 4 and haven't noticed much extra room in my clothes yet but have seen a few pounds lost on the scale.

      Good luck to you and I look forward to following your progress so please keep posting!

        I want to share this with the 14-day induction people:

        DAY 6, got on the weight scale for the first time after starting induction and I already weigh 3 kgs less (is that 6 pounds?). I almost burst to tears. Could not beleive it...

        Atkins definitely works for me. I was probably addicted to carbs and now I can see the difference!

          How wonderful!! Isn't it amazing to finally be seeing the numbers go DOWN instead of up? Congrats on how well it has been working for you!

              Good decision not to become a daily scale-hopper (which can mess with your confidence in this WOE), but do make sure you weigh after your first 14 days on induction so you can work out your metabolic resistance to weightloss according to the chart in DANDR

                  To get your ticker link or anything else you want to appear in each message you post you need to add it to your signature block.

                  This can be easiest to do by clicking on the 'Quick Links' link at the top of the page (in the blue bar) and selecting the 'Edit signature' option.

                  A text box will appear into which you can type any info like links, tickers, statistics (many of us post our start/current/goal weights as well as our gender M or F and age and height so people can see at a glance where we are in our Atkins journey) and any images you want.

                  Supporting members can post more stuff in their signatures than ordinary members can, but you have a reasonable 'allowance' of space there.

                  Once you have typed your signature stuff in the box you can preview it and then save it.

                        Now you have displayed your start/current/goal weights in your signature we can see you have really done amazingly to already have lost 3 kilos from a total hoped-for loss of 20 kilos!

                        An 'average' loss is said to be between 5% and 10% in the first 14 days and you have lost 15% in only 6 days!!!

                            The good thing about eating Atkins is that the water weight tends to stay off, so you do not ahve to lug it around with you!!
