I am on day 4 and I am finding that I am still wanting to snack. I bought some pork rinds and pork skin crackling type thingys. Is that okay to eat. It says 0 carbs. I have a family of 6 and they are not quite sure I should be doing this so snacks around here are everywhere. They are constantly saying I could NEVER do what you are doing. I would never be able to give up this honey bun. We also have three birthdays coming up not to mention the holidays! I feel doomed to fail already! I just want to scream "Don't you love me?" "Don't you want me to be healty?" We are such a carb-a-holic family they are totally not down with what I am doing.
I have had to just today remind them two or three times to PLEASE stop making this harder on me than it has to be.
So back to the snacking. I am reading the book that says I should be seeing a reduction in my desire to snack. But so far I don't. I do, however, feel better and have plenty of energy.
I am walking my 10,000+ steps a day and drinking about 72 ounces of water. So I know I am doing that part right.
I think my biggest problem would be beverages. I LOVE my coffee.
I always have decaf so that's not a problem but the creamer has 1carb per tsp and the splenda does too! So I have drastically cut back on that. I also only have 1 or 2 cups of the diet rite a day (which is a big drop).
I have cut out all the aspartame. But I was wondering if any of you ever have it with no ill effects. I really like the sugar free jello but they don't make it with splenda ( which we are still suppose to limit the splenda to 2 a day! ) YIKES! I'm going nuts here!~
I'd appreciate any encouragement or advice on any of this.
