  • after 2 weeks lost 4 lbs. This is what happened yesterday.

    hi..

    Some of u may know me from this board. Ive been on atkins for 2 weeks where i lost 4 lbs and it was going good.

    Yesterday i was invited at my sisters house for the whole day! It was a mistake to go! heres what i ate :

    breaded fish.
    salad
    pepsi
    chocolate cake
    ice cream (6 bowls)
    caffinated coffee and tea.
    bread.
    cheese.

    Amounts : LOADS!!!

    i weighed myself today and i gained all what i have lost in the 2 weeks.
    Talk about discouragment!

    Now i am feeling very down and under and a bit mad at myself because i was liking this way of life for a change.

    Today i got back to the normal atkins diet. I ate grilled chicken and 2 cups of lettuce.

    That's water weight, too. Give yourself clean induction and it will all come off again. Still, don't make a habit of cheating. The last time I cheated, it took a long time to undo the damage! I hope you're back on your feet ketosising like a madman sooner than Pat Sajak can ask Vanna for a vowel.

        You know what, today is a new day, we have all slipped up I believe, I have anyways many a times. Just start fresh, you can do this. Just get back on and try again!

          No, it wasn't a mistake to go. Are you never going to go to your sister's house again? Of course not! Your mistake came in not planning ahead. You could have called your sister to find out what foods were being served. If there were no foods there that match up with the Acceptable Foods list, you could let her know that you'd be bringing your own food!

          You need to look at this as a lesson in life. There will ALWAYS be situations like this - a visit with family or friends, a gathering that's centered around food. The trick is not to beat yourself up today, but to review what happened and learn from it - so you are better prepared to handle it next time. You are not expected to stop enjoying life because you're on Atkins - but you do need to learn how to enjoy life in ways other than eating.

            wow thank alot guys!

            I just called my friend and we are going jogging later! i should workout more but any workout will help.

            i have some flabby underarms, and thighs ?? anyone have this ?

              I'll take you and raise you uber-flab under my arms! I could shield a small nation from nuclear weapons with what I've got under my arms.
