Are sea scallops allowed on induction? Do you know of any good ways to prepare them if they are?

    thanks.

PS. I don't have the book with me at work, and the online allowed food list doesnt list them.

They're allowed. They fall into the "all shellfish" category. I'm not sure about the carb count on them so you'll have to look them up.

For the big sea scallops, I like mixing them with pepper, finely grated lemon rind, alittle olive oil and a little salt. Skewer them and broil until they are cooked through. Serve with a squirt of lemon juice.

You can also "sear" them: heat oil in a skillet, add a single layer of scallops, fry until golden on one side. flip and fry until golden again, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.

For bay scallops, I like to put them into a seafood salad. I steam the scallops, shrimps, clams, squid rings, firm flesh fish like cod, until they are cooked. I cool them then make a dressing of mayonnaise thinned with a little lemon juice. I toss the seafood with the dressing and some chopped green onion. Refrigerate and serve on a bed of lettuce with some tomato wedges.

while they are allowed they do contain carbs so be sure to count your carbs i think it is around 4 and 1/2 per cup of them so don't go too wild. breadingis extra carbs of course
