  • A question about the Acceptable Foods on Induction..

I had to postpone my Atkins start until I got paid, but I have now and I'm headed to the grocery store tomorrow night, and I'm stocking up on Atkins-friendly foods.

    Anyways..
No-where does the Acceptable Foods list say anything about chicken/beef broth? I don't know why it'd be unacceptable.... but?

I eat a LOT of Thai food, and I don't know how I could keep doing so, as it doesn't list a lot of the spices/sauces/veggies used in Thai food.

So, do any of you know if these are acceptable for Induction, or anything?:

    Lemongrass
    Kaffir Lime Leaves
    Fish Sauce
    Coconut Milk
    Curry
    Coriander, Tumeric, Cardamom, Bay Leaf
    Lemon Basil
    Lemon/Lime juice

Also, if anyone HAS any Atkins-Friendly Thai recipes to pass along, it'd be MORE than appreciated!!

    Thanks in advance!

Re: A question about the Acceptable Foods on Induction..

The only one I am pretty sure would not be induction-legal is the coconut milk, which as it is made from pressed coconut meat would be added once oyu are at the nuts/seeds rung of OWL.

As long as you account for the carbs in the spices and herbs you should be OK.

Of course if eating out you will need to ask if they add sugar or starches to things like curry and sauces.

2-3 tablespoons of Lemon/lime juice is allowed on induction but it apparently has nearly 3 carbs per tablespoon.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
