  • "Hi Fattie"

Last night I was taking a walk, and when I walked past the park, this kid was like HI FATTTY and then his Dad (or whoever) laughed...then the kid was like BYE FATTY.

And of course, I was the only one there.

This sux. Made me feel, well, F A T and sad.

good lord people never cease to amaze me. what brats...the kid AND his dad.

you have lost 17 pounds! that is fabulous news. do what i always do....use the negative to make a positive. as terrible as it was to hear that, (you know how it made you feel), let that MOTIVATE you to stick with it....keep walking (right by the brat's house) and keep up with your routine....

before you know it you'll be getting catcalls!!!

i'm gonna get a button to wear that says "mean people suck."

I hate that people think its ok to pick on overweight people. Does the extra weight mean we have no feelings? Or does it mean we dont deserve to be respected or treated with decency?

When i was walking down to the lake to see the fireworks with my kids and my fiance some teenage boys yelled fata$$ out the window of their car at me. We were the only people anywhere around so i know they yelled it at me(my fiance is very slender). It ruined my whole night and then next day (my daughters birthday) i was depressed during the whole party and had to fake happy. I am the only obese person in family of slim people who complain they are fat.

Well think of it this way you can become thinner but they will just be ugly people for the rest of their life. I think real inner beauty will always win. Be proud of yourself.

What a rude horrible little idiot. I hope he gets really fat one day and has something shouted at him and his father accepting that behavior....what a pair of pratts.

You know you're losing weight and sod them and what they think...if you believe in the karmic boomerang then they'll get theirs!!

You should've said the old 'yeah and your ugly - at least I can diet - you on the other hand will always be ugly'...stupid little idiot!

You know what? I think that is it. I really think that some people who haven't had to struggle with weight really feel that very overweight people have no feelings. I've seen it. I guess they feel that they are invisible in a way. It's almost in a way they feel that it's the fault of the overweight person that they are like that, they did this to themselves so they are fair game for comments. It's really cruel!

I feel bad for any kid whose parent would condone that type of behavior. He has to grow up in a house where he's taught to make fun of and judge other people. He's in for a rude awakening when he gets out into the world and realizes he's got his own flaws, (and everyone does) - someday he'll run into someone like his father who thinks its OK to bring those flaws to his attention in a rude manner, embarrassing him the way he embarrassed you.

Exactly! I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around. One day that boy and his father will get theirs.

As for you, don't get discouraged----get working! Really dig in and do your exercise, do your Atkins and get the results you want. Don't let a rude little boy and his rude father derail your efforts.

that's just awful....but like everyone said take that as a motivator...
I always say haters are my motivation, because without them I wouldn't have anything to keep me on my toes!
And that's just trashy to let your children act that way...I blame the father, the kid musta learned it from somewhere...
