  • Fell off the weagon ready to get back on.

Hey all, I fell off the wagon and now I've gotten over the embarassment and I'm ready to start all over. I'm back up to 237 and I'm really very depressed about the whole cheating thing. Its not worth it Ive had heart burn and headaches every since not to mention just being all around sluggish and irritable.

        Hi! :wave

Welcome back to Atkins, it's not the falling that matters it's the getting back up. Don't punish yourself, forgive yourself instead and just keep going.

It's great to hear you're doing preparation work, that's very important. Having done Atkins and failed myself I understand how important it is to start from the best vantage pint you can.

And a house full of only Induction friendly foods, your copy of DANDR by your side and logging on to this board whenever you need to grab anything from a little support to a laugh is all going to lay the ground work of your soon to come success. Just coming back shows it's already started!

Glad you've climbed back on the wagon with us.
You should 'bookmark' that feeling for the next time you feel like cheating to remind yourself how rotten it made you feel!
Can you work out just why you cheated? So you can plan a strategy for staying on track and avoid slipping into that particular hole next time the same situation occurs?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I'm absolutely happy with you Margarita, because you noted your mistake and are willing to give it a try more seriously now.

Now get back on that wagon and hang on real tight it might be a fast ride.

                  Margarita:

Good for you for getting past the embarassment and getting back where you know you belong! Give yourself a big ol' pat on the back.

Make sure you take some time to sit down and think through what caused you to go off the wagon -- and look at what you could have done differently so you're prepared the next time. We ALL have hard times -- whether it's stress or food cravings or hormones or whatever -- and learning how to deal with those times is the key to success!

Keep us posted on how you're doing!

                    Margarita,
I am the pro wagon faller offer!! Sometimes It's a little difficult to get back on, but once ya manage to do it, it's such an awesome ride :joy :joy

From one wagonier to another, the bumps and bruises will go away from falling off. I've found, lots of water, alot of good food (no carbies of course), and a bandaid will do the trick.

Goodluck on your journey, we're all here for ya. :hug :hug
