  • Newbi sorta?! =)

Hi guys! I am a SBer that has come over to atkins. I have been on SB for 2 months and only lost about 5 pounds. It tends to be a lot about veggies, while I like them. I can only take it about the same amount as atkins recomends. My hubby is doing the SB still and is still losing while, I can not seem to lose more. Thought I would try this WOL. My parents eat the atkins way pretty much, for a long time now (off and on somethough :sadblinky ) I know it works and know how great they feel on it.

I am 5'9" 145 pounds. I know, I know...that's not over weight. I have a belly though (rather large) and I am tired of sucking in :anger I want to start a healthy WOL for the rest of my life, so I don't have the issues most of my family does later in my life!! Any help and ideas for starting would be great. I am planning to start tomorrow morning! Well it's 2am so today!
    :joy

    So Hi everyone !!! :wave

    Hello Me0wmix :wave
    Welcome to ha
Good for you for deciding to eat the Atkins way for health reasons.

As you have little or no weight to lose perhaps just follow strict induction for the 14 day period then move straight on to OWL.

I am sure that if you also exercise as well as eating a 'clean' induction menu your body will redistribute the weight to give you a trimmer figure by the time you are halfway up the OWL ladder, and you will be in maintenance before you know it!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Hello there, and welcome to ADBB and the atkins way of life. When you are smaller it takes longer for the weight to come off. so be patient and hang on.

I would also suggest that you do some exercise and do some weight lifting. Sit ups are not done to burn the fat but you build the muscle underneath the fat so that when you do lose the fat you end up with that board wash look. The fat will go away with dieting and cardio.

      Happy losing!!!
