  • Induction (NOT) sweet Induction

Just finished 2 weeks clean induction today. I did not weigh myself during the last 2 weeks because I can too easily let the scale control my life. I lost 14 lbs. I feel terrific, I am no longer hungry and I drink litres of water. I did so well and feel in control of myself, so I have decided to continue induction. I am eating a lot of salads with no more than the allotted vegetables, but lots of meat, olives and cheese (watching portion on olives and cheese). I do not use fitday, I just look at the Atkins guidelines and stay within them.
In terms of exercise, I am doing 45 min of biking everyday with a break every now and then (1 day). I have challenged myself to 20 push-ups (which I do kneeling down because that is the only way I can accomplish 20!), 25 crunches and 50 squats per day for September. I am also joining the next 6 week exercise challenge. I KNOW that I must exercise to lose and maintain my loss.
I am a sugar addict and am terrified of cheating (or even just eating off plan because I am a guest at someone's home) because with me 1 bite can trigger cravings that I am helpless to control. I desperately want this to become a WOL because I know that it is the ONLY plan that works for me. Wish me luck! I will come back to this thread to let you know how my continued induction goes. If I start to get bored or add food that is better suited to OWL I will move on, until then INDUCTION HERE I COME!

    What a great positive post

Congratulations on a successful initial induction, both foodwise and exercise too
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

        Wait to go!!!
I'm on my 3rd week of induction too as I'm quite satisfied with the food I'm eating. I'm a sugar addict too so my plan is to stick to Atkins. I will eventually move to the next rung.
Keep at it. You are doing great!!!

          Re: Induction (NOT) sweet Induction

Just so everyone starting induction knows, it took about 1.5 weeks before I started to notice the hunger and craving abate. I am not even sure that hunger is the right word. It took that long before I stopped wandering around thinking about eating and feeling like I NEED something. Of course, this type of hunger is not the sort that is satisfied by leftover steak! So yes, the food obsession is gone, at least while I keep eating properly!

You are doing such a great job! I love how we are the same height, altho' you're young enough to be my daughter ! I'm so inspired by all the posts. What do you have for breakfast? That's my downfall, I love toasted tomato and mayo, with or without the eggs. Your exercise routine puts me to shame . Yoga alone, doesn't cut it, I need to do some cardio too. So girl, keep it up, keep us posted!
