  • HOW Much water do i need ?

    The book said that i need 8 oz of water a day. but i've heard that i need more becouse iam 266lbs . can any one tell me how much water do i need? i've been searching the form for that qusation but i didnt find the answer. thanks

    No, you need 8 8oz cups of water per day MINIMUM. That's 64 ounces. Plus, another 8 ounces for every 10 pounds you want to lose. So if you're at 266 and want to lose 80 pounds, you'd need an additional 80 ounces. So 64 + 80 = a total of 144 ounces daily to lose weight.

    PLUS - Add an ADDITIONAL 8 oz. for every diet soda or other caffeinated drink you have.

      It's 64 ounces (8 oz x 8 times) per day, plus 8oz for every 25 lbs you need to lose, plus additional water to compensate for exercise you're doing. I've never heard the 8 oz per diet soda and caffinated coffee -- but that's probably because you shouldn't be drinking either during your 14 day Induction

        The extra amount for caffeinated beverages is recommended by other low carb authors. It's something like 2 additional ounces of water for every 1 ounce of a caffeinated beverage you drink in order to make up for the diuretic effect of the caffeine. So, if you drink 8 ounces of caffeinated coffee, you need to drink an additional 16 ounces of water.
