I was just thinking about my induction time. I really believe that fat helped me tremendously. I have been browsing the other boards on this forum, and a post caught my eye that said we often eat too much protein and it will turn to fat.
So I got to thinking, well how am I going to get more fat in my diet? I thought the protein was the fat. Well a few days ago I tried an experiment. I had everyday (I know it sounds boring, but bear with me) 2 scrambled eggs, with 2 pieces of nitrate free bacon....but instead of making my scrambled eggs in a separate pan I added two pats of butter in the scrambled egg batter, and then proceeded to scramble all of that in the bacon fat.
Can I tell you it was delicious! It killed cravings big time, and when the people where bringing in cakes and bagels, I was full as can be!
For lunch I'd have some meat in this case chicken (about two pieces) but I purposely used two tablespoons of the olive oil I cooked the chicken in and added it to my chicken and heated it up. I usually have two cups of salad greens at this time and I eat that together. Craving curber until dinner!
At dinner I would have a cheeseburger without the bun of course, and I would either elect to have another cup of salad greens sauteed in the oil of the cooked burger, or I would have a cup of my favorite vegetable (broccoli) with LOTS of butter.
I'm telling you that fat really makes a difference. Because of Atkins I have liberally used tons of olive oil, and salt free butter. The fat in the oils really help me out, and I don't even need to eat tons of meat to feel full. It is a lifesaver that fat is!

Two pounds lost now out of a total of 20 (which is 10%) to lose is the same as 4 pounds out of a total of 40 to lose!
