Sorry to post again however this is more specific.

I am in ketosis now second week of induction, first week lost 7lb this week lost 5lb. Feeling so sick its unbearable.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Right now am drinking water, mint tea and resting. Just the smell of food makes me gag. Having a hard time, I dont want to break ketosis... any advice of how to continue and get through this!

    Help!

      Re: ketosis sickness

About a week after my appetite decreases, the thought AND smell of food made me nauseous. Like Kelly said, make sure you arent preggers and it really does pass. I find mine is worse if I'm close to TOM. Keep on truckin!!

12 pounds in two weeks is ASTOUNDING!!!!

Post your daily menu, including the amounts, in the "Review My Menu" forum. Many times, people make the BIG mistake of eating nearly zero carbs, thinking that is how to do Atkins.

So post it and see what they tell you.

I was so nauseous and had a horrid headache today I ate some cheese, a bit of meat and then sat there all day.
Came home and holy! FINALLY in ketosis!
          I feel for you!!!
My appetite is little. Just nibbling on another stick of cheese and hope to get some veggies in in a bit!

Missing out on the vitamin's can make me feel a bit unwell as can the occaisional bout of constipation. To much tea (decaf) can make me feel a bit iffy.

And make sure you are eating the carb's you are allowed.

Once you get past the first stages, feeling unwell is one of them, and you start seeing result's......you'll feel on top of the world.

              Stick in.

Ahhh tell me about it! I am on day 4 and have had a permanent headache since i started and my stomach hurts cos i am hungry but i have no appetite at all? Like can't face eating anything much so just nibbling on cheese! Today i was ready to say **** it but weighed myself this morning and already lost 4lb so i am sticking with it and hoping it passes! I could really do with a nice bowl of cereal now tho rather than a stick of cheese!
