  • Did I mess it up?

    Today is my third day on induction. So far I have been following it to a key but tonight I had dinner with an old friend. Of course she chose my weakness: mexican food.

    BUT. I ordered a tortilla-free burrito with no rice or beans. So all it had was shredded beef, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. The only thing that has me worried is the shredded beef because who knows what they use in their spices.

    I think I still might've made it within 20 carbs, if not a couple over, but I am more worried about all of the sodium. That could've ruined my whole "water weight" phase of the first week.

    Any thoughts? I'm concerned.

    Mexican food usually does not contain any hidden sugar so i think you did great. I eat mexican food almost daily and i love it because if you take out the rice/tortillas/beans it is very low carb. I cook my own food most of the time so i know whats in it, but if you eat out stay away from the carne al pastor (my favorite that i cant have anymore) because its marinade contains pineapple.

      As determined said, you probably have not gone far wrong with your choices - well done!

      If you did overdo the sodium there is really nothing you can do about it now - so stop worrying, maybe step up your water and keep up the good work sticking to plan
