  • Day 7, and down 7!

This is so exciting, day 7 and I am down a full 7 pounds!!! In "the book" Dr. Atkins says that overweight females lose an average of 6 pounds over the initial 2 week induction phase. That means I am already ahead of the game!!!

The best thing is that I am not feeling hungry all the time. All of the other diets I tried before I quit, because I just couldn't deal with that constant feeling of hunger. I can't believe this really, it seems too good to be true. Hopefully I am not going to wake up in the morning and find I was just dreaming I was on a diet that worked, lol.

    Fantastic! Happy Dance! Happy Dance!

    Keep up the good work.

I know from doing this years ago, it does work. The thing is seeing it through. One little oops and you are out of ketosis. Then you want to cheat some more. You have to be very strict with sticking to it through birthday cake, pizza, ect.

It is the best plan out there though. If you can stick to it and slowly move up the rungs of OWL for pre-maintanace and maintanance you can do this forever.

Now almost to the end of induction, and I am down 9.5 pounds. I have tomorrow to go yet, then Monday morning is the official end of the 2 weeks. I think I will stay here for another week, to give my husband time to finish his induction period. Then we can move on together,

You can only imagine how pleased I am with things so far. And I am still not feeling deprived. Tomorrow I am going to try something new and make those oopsie rolls. My biggest question with them is wondering if I am supposed to eat 2 of them to make a 'sandwich' or other item, or if I am supposed to slice one like you do an english muffin. Either way, it still seems like a wonderful item.

        Weigh to go
        You are doing great

My revolution rolls (like Cleo's oopsies but using less cream cheese/mayo) seldom turn out thick enough to slice into two so I usually make an 'open sandwich' or use two as a burger bun.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
