Re: darn you pringles... so tempting
I am the same way, I can't have it in the house. I have been slowly switching the kids and husband to healthier choices. They have not complained yet

Re: darn you pringles... so tempting
Once you pop you can't stop....I have probably caused pringles stock to go up in the past few months...And now they have these king cans...Pringles are my worst food addiction, and that's not a lie!
Don't give up, just pick up and start where you left off, and act like it never happened. We are here for you!

Re: darn you pringles... so tempting
As the others have said, if you eat off-plan once you dont have to start your 14 days induction again. If we did some of us would never be able to move on to the main weightloss phase of Atkins (OWL)
So if yesterday was Day 9, today is Day 10.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: darn you pringles... so tempting
I cover things up in the kitchen. If I don't cover it I may eat it. I am a bit of an "unconscious" eater; I grab food and stuff it in my mouth without thinking about. So the cover and hide trick has helped me.

Re: darn you pringles... so tempting
Hi Melimeli... and you might might try giving "them" their own cupboard to house the evil. I have the unconscious 'pop-it' problem to... I popped a grape while making kid's lunch the other day, and am notorious at licking spoons while cooking. Getting better, but it a hard habit to break.
Pringle's? I like to put a little stack in my mouth and smash them against the roof of my mouth. Just one, wouldn't work at all. 30 carbs? That might not take you all the way out of ketosis, depending on your metabolism.
Definately just keep going as if nothing happened. <looks up and around, whistling innocently>
I think it's really important in this way of eating to just jump back on the horse the very next meal. Not "I'll restart tomorrow" or "Monday" (which almost always never came, for me) but NEXT MEAL.
10 pounds gone, and only day nine! you are doing great!Best Regards ~Kellen

Re: darn you pringles... so tempting
ooh! that's a stinker, I love pringles too. And admittedly I had one the other day too. It was the last one in the can, Thank God! I wouldn't have stopped. So I counted the carb. I think they are 1 or 2 each. Keep at it, I've slipped too. If you totally love chips try this. Get some wax pape ror parchment paper, get some of your favorite cheese (0 carbs) and shred it, place little piles of it around on the paper (on a cookie sheet) make only 5 or 6 so you don't over do it. each little pile I'm guessing is maybe a table spoon or so of shredded cheese ( I use cheddar) now put it in the oven and broil it until it just begins to brown and get crispy. Be careful not to burn it. When you take them out to cool you can use a spatula and drap them over a glass turned on its side to make them curved. Let them cool completely. If they were cooked long enough they should harden and be great for dipping in some sour creme or salsa, they go great as a side to a salad or just a snack. I love them. Hope this helps the chip craving!

One day at a time.

Re: darn you pringles... so tempting
My motto is... Failure is not the falling down it's the staying down.
Make sure that this doesn't stop you from achieving your goal. Everyone makes mistakes its just key that you get back up and try again. Try to figure out why you at them in the first place... were you hungry, tired, ate something that triggered a craving, or was your willpower not strong enough. You have to just work on saying no. But, try try again and good luck!
